Now Trending: Colorful Shoes for the Brides or Grooms

Now, lets just take a moment here to think about a small aspect of your wedding, it may seem insignificant at this very moment, but man, it can make a big difference when it comes to how comfortable you are on the day of you’re marriage: your shoes.

While the traditional shoe options have always been white/ivory heels for women and black/brown shoes for the grooms, times have changed. Maybe you’re not a traditional couple, and you sure as heck don’t have to be a typical couple. Colorful shoes that show off your personality, are a super great, on trend idea that is easy to incorporate into your wedding. When it comes time to choosing your shoes, here’s a few tips that maybe you should keep in mind.

1. Make sure that you have your shoes when you go to your dress/ suit fitting.
Now this may sound odd, but think about it. If you’re wearing a dress you want to make sure your dress isn’t dragging on the ground if your wearing flats, and you don’t want it to be too short if you’re wearing heels. Same thing goes for te guys. Trying on your pants without shoes, may look fine, but you might find that one you put back on your dress shoes your pants may look to short and may need a longer inseam.
2. Make sure to break in your shoes.
DO NOT wear your wedding shoes right out of the box for the first time on the day of your wedding. Comfort is key, you want to be happy on your wedding day, not complaining about how much your feet hurt. Skip the pain and wear your shoes a couple times around the house before wearing them down the isle.
3. Stay true to yourself.
If you’ve never worn heels, don’t feel the pressure to start wearing heels just because its your wedding day. Both of you have a love of converse shoes? Show it off, they go with everything and you’ll be much more comfortable and confident as your walking down the isle. Other options might include showing off your favorite color, or personalizing your shoes with some decorative details from your local craft store. Another great benefit of wearing non traditional wedding shoes?  You can wear them again after your wedding day.
